Why I Am Running for the House of Representatives
I am running for the House of Representatives in an attempt to bring about significant change in how our government operates, restore individual rights, and reclaim our republic. Congress has a very low approval rating, but the naïve voter reelects the incumbent, expecting different results. This is “insane,” and the people should cast votes for Independents (“Statesmen”), who care about the people and our Nation, not ones caring about self-serving interest. Here are my key positions:
- Restore the Republic: Our nation was founded as a republic, not a democracy. This distinction is crucial. A republic emphasizes individual rights and equal protection under the law, while democracy often leads to government overreach and mob rule. I will introduce legislation to dismantle the structures that have eroded our republic and restore the principles of limited government and personal liberty.
- End Economic and Social Slavery: Our judicial and legislative systems currently possess unchecked power to impose taxes, keeping us in a state of economic and social bondage. To regain true freedom, we must return to the original Constitution and eliminate the Marxist income tax introduced by the 16th Amendment. I support repealing the 16th Amendment or enacting legislation to exempt individuals from income taxes.
- End Congressional Perks and Career Politicians: Elected officials should serve the people, not themselves. I propose eliminating retirement plans for all elected officials, reducing staff, cutting perks, and ending the revolving door of lobbying and consulting. Additionally, elected officials should not be allowed to trade stocks, earn speaking fees, or publish books for profit while in office (including family members). All income must be disclosed and audited annually. Furthermore, they should be prohibited from working for government contractors or affiliates after leaving office—including family members.
- Property Ownership Rights: The government should not have the power to tax property, effectively making us renters on our own land. Property taxes are another Marxist principle that must be abolished. I will advocate for legislation that protects the right to own property outright, free from government extortion.
- Hold Congress Accountable for Spending: Members of Congress should not be permitted to vote themselves pay raises. Instead, their salaries should be reduced in proportion to increases in the federal deficit, and only increased when spending is responsibly curtailed.
- End Perpetual War: Our nation has been ensnared in endless, unresolvable wars since World War II. While I support a robust national defense, I oppose unnecessary military interventions abroad.
- Withdraw from the UN and NATO: We must prioritize American sovereignty. I will work diligently to get the United States out of the United Nations and NATO, effectively ending our financial and military commitments to these globalist institutions.
- Abolish the Federal Reserve: The Federal Reserve, a privately owned institution, has been exploiting Americans through fiat currency and inflation. It is imperative that we audit, dismantle, and replace the Fed with a sound monetary policy backed by tangible assets.
- Reform Education: Public schools are indoctrinating our children instead of educating them. I propose abolishing federal control over education and returning it to local communities through well-organized PTA programs. Education should be tailored to the specific needs of each community rather than dictated by Washington bureaucrats.
- Support Medical Freedom: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been a vocal advocate for health freedom and accountability in government health agencies. I support maintaining his influence to ensure transparency and integrity in public health. Kennedy recognizes that commercialized and corporate farming has depleted the soil of essential minerals and vitamins while introducing harmful chemicals like Roundup into the food chain. This destructive cycle must be halted, and efforts should focus on revitalizing the soil and reforming animal farming practices.
- Abortion: The federal government should have no jurisdiction over abortion. This divisive issue has been weaponized, and if a fetus is recognized as a person, the question arises: Who has the right to terminate that life? This matter should be left to the states and the people.
- Immigration Enforcement: Our immigration laws are clear and must be enforced as written, including both Title 18 (criminal law) and Title 8 (civil law). The Constitution must be applied literally, not subjectively.
I am open to discussing other issues and hearing from constituents about their concerns. My goal is to restore liberty, limit government power, and put America first. If you share my vision, support my efforts, and cast your vote for me, I would be grateful. At 91, I am the oldest non-incumbent candidate to run for the House, and my decades of experience should not be wasted. I need your help to spread the message.
